ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE

The People, etc., respondent,

v Demetrios Argyris, et al., defendants,

Constandino Argyris, et al., appellants.

Application by the respondent pursuant to 22 NYCRR 670.8(d)(2) to enlarge the time to serve and file a brief on appeals from two orders of the Supreme Court, Queens County, dated June 18, 2010, and September 27, 2010, respectively.

Upon the papers filed in support of the application and no papers having been filed in opposition or in relation thereto, it is

ORDERED that the parties are directed to show cause before this Court why an order should or should not be made and entered dismissing the appeals on the ground that the orders are not appealable either as of right or by permission (see CPL 450.10; 450.20), by filing an affirmation or an affidavit on that issue in the office of the Clerk of this Court on or before July 5, 2011; and it is further,

ORDERED that the application is held in abeyance in the interim; and it is further,

ORDERED that the Clerk of this Court or his designee is directed to serve a copy of this order to show cause upon the appellants' attorneys and upon the District Attorney, by ordinary mail pursuant to CPL 470.60(2).
