DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

Motion by the respondent for leave to defend appeals from two orders of the Supreme Court, Suffolk County, dated July 21, 2011, and August 16, 2011, respectively, on typewritten briefs and for leave to file fewer than nine copies of his brief.

Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and the papers filed in opposition thereto, it is

ORDERED that the branch of the motion which is for leave to defend the appeals on typewritten briefs is denied as unnecessary (see 22 NYCRR 670.10.3[b]); and it is further,

ORDERED that the branch of the motion which is for leave to file fewer than nine copies of the respondent's brief is denied; and it is further,

ORDERED that on the Court's own motion, the respondent's time to serve and file a brief is enlarged until February 17, 2012, and the respondent's brief must be served and filed on or before that date.
