| ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE |
Motion by Cynthia A. Lee to be relieved as counsel for the appellant Peter M. on an appeal from an order of the Family Court, Richmond County, dated May 9, 2011, and for the assignment of new counsel.
Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and no papers having been filed in opposition or in relation thereto, it is
ORDERED that the parties or their attorneys are directed to show cause before this Court why an order should or should not be made and entered dismissing the appeal of Peter M. on the ground that he has abandoned the appeal, by filing an affirmation or an affidavit on that issue in the office of the Clerk of this Court and serving one copy of the same on each other on or before May 17, 2012; and it is further,
ORDERED that the motion to be relieved as counsel and for the assignment of new counsel is held in abeyance in the interim; and it is further,
ORDERED that the Clerk of this Court or her designee is directed to serve a copy of this order to show cause upon the parties or their attorneys, and upon the appellant Peter M. at his last known place of residence by regular mail.
