ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE

Motion by the respondent to enlarge the record on appeals from two orders of the Supreme Court, Queens County, entered January 4, 2012, and July 17, 2012, respectively, to include the papers filed in connection with a motion that was determined by an order of the same court dated December 11, 2012.

Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and the papers filed in opposition thereto, it is

ORDERED that the parties or their attorneys are directed to show cause before this Court why an order should or should not be made and entered dismissing the appeals on the ground that they have been rendered academic by the order dated December 11, 2012, by filing an affirmation or affidavit on that issue with the Clerk of this Court and serving one copy of the same on each other on or before April 9, 2013; and it is further,

ORDERED that the respondent's motion is held in abeyance in the interim; and it is further,

ORDERED that the Clerk of this Court, or her designee, shall serve a copy of this order to show cause on the parties or their attorneys by regular mail.
