v City of New York, et al., defendants.

(Index No. 16442/08)

ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE

Appeal by the plaintiff from an order of the Supreme Court, Queens County, dated February 15, 2012. The appeal was perfected on December 10, 2012. On February 1, 2013, the Law Office of Andrea G. Sawyers filed a brief purportedly on behalf of "defendant-respondent." The appeal was calendared for September 23, 2013.

Now, on the Court's own motion, it is

ORDERED that the Law Office of Andrea G. Sawyers show cause before this Court why an order should or should not be made and entered striking the brief filed by it on the ground that the Law Office of Andrea G. Sawyers does not represent a defendant-respondent on this appeal, by filing a affirmation or affidavit on that issue with the Clerk of this Court on or before February 21, 2014; and it is further,

ORDERED that the Clerk of this Court, or her designee, shall serve a copy of this order to show cause upon the parties or their attorneys by regular mail.

SKELOS, J.P., COHEN, MILLER and HINDS-RADIX, JJ., concur.
