| DECISION & ORDER ON APPLICATION |
Application by the Grievance Committee for the Second, Eleventh, and Thirteenth Judicial Districts to appoint an attorney to perform the following: (1) to take custody of, and inventory, the legal files of Robert C. Fontanelli, which are located at 32 Court Street, Brooklyn, N.Y.; (2) to take custody of, and safeguard, the records of any business, escrow, trust, or special accounts of Mr. Fontanelli found at the foregoing premises; (3) to receive, open, and read any mail addressed to Mr. Fontanelli at his former place of business; and (4) to take such other actions as are deemed proper and advisable to protect the interests of Mr. Fontanelli's former clients in discharging the aforesaid duties. Mr. Fontanelli was admitted to the Bar at a term of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in the Second Judicial Department on January 13, 1999, under the name Robert Carl Fontanelli. By opinion and order of this Court dated March 19, 2012, Mr. Fontanelli was disbarred, upon his default.
Upon the papers filed in support of the application, it is
ORDERED that Steven J. Maffei, Esq., 544 Bay Ridge Parkway, Brooklyn, N.Y. 11209, is hereby appointed as inventory attorney pursuant to 22 NYCRR 691.10(g) to perform the following: (1) to take custody of, and inventory, Robert C. Fontanelli's legal files, which are located at 32 Court Street, Brooklyn, N.Y., and return them to his former clients; (2) to take custody of, and safeguard, the records of any business, escrow, trust or special accounts of Mr. Fontanelli, which are currently at the above location; (3) to receive, open, and read any mail addressed to Mr. Fontanelli at the above location; and (4) to take such other actions as are deemed proper and advisable to protect the interests of Mr. Fontanelli's former clients in discharging the aforesaid duties.
