DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

2013-301 W CR
The People of the State of New York, Respondent, v Young Kahng, Appellant.

Motion by appellant to enlarge the time to perfect an appeal from a judgment of conviction of the Justice Court of the Town of Greenburgh, Westchester County, rendered January 17, 2013, and to clarify this court's decision and order on motion dated August 16, 2013, appointing a Korean interpreter to assist in the appeal.

Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and no papers having been filed in opposition thereto, it is

ORDERED that the branch of the motion seeking an enlargement of time to perfect the appeal is granted and the time to perfect is enlarged to 60 days after the date of this decision and order on motion. The People may serve and file a respondent's brief within 21 days after the service upon them of the appellant's brief. Appellant, if so advised, may serve and file a reply brief within seven days after service of the respondent's brief; and it is further,

ORDERED that the branch of the motion seeking to clarify this court's decision and order on motion dated August 16, 2013 is granted and it is directed that the appointment of the interpreter shall include assisting in the preparation of appellant's brief and reply brief, if any, and in the translation of all briefs filed in connection with the appeal.
