In the Matter of Jerome Gross,

a disbarred attorney.

(Attorney Registration No. 1337450)

DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION
FOR REINSTATEMENT

Motion by Jerome Gross for reinstatement to the Bar as an attorney and counselor-at-law. Mr. Gross was admitted to the Bar at a term of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in the Second Judicial Department on April 4, 1962. By decision and order on application of this Court dated July 10, 2000, the Grievance Committee for the Second, Eleventh, and Thirteenth Judicial Districts was authorized to institute and prosecute a disciplinary proceeding against Mr. Gross, and the issues were referred to the Honorable John A. Monteleone, as Special Referee, to hear and report. By opinion and order of this Court dated October 1, 2001, Mr. Gross was disbarred, effective immediately. Mr. Gross was also the subject of two prior unrelated disciplinary proceedings which were authorized by this Court (App. Div. Docket Nos. 1990-00795 and 2000-00001).

Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and the papers filed in relation thereto, it is

ORDERED that the motion is denied.

We find that Jerome Gross does not demonstrate the requisite fitness and character to practice law.

ENG, P.J., MASTRO, RIVERA, DILLON and MILLER, JJ., concur.
