ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE

Appeals by Administration for Children's Services from a temporary order of protection of the Family Court, Kings County, dated March 4, 2016, and an order of the same court also dated March 4, 2016. Motion by the appellant to stay enforcement of the order of protection and the orders dated March 4, 2016, pending hearing and determination of appeals therefrom.

Now, on the Court's own motion, it is

ORDERED that the parties are directed to show cause why an order should or should not be made and entered dismissing the appeals on the ground that they have been rendered academic by the expiration of the temporary order of protection dated March 4, 2016, and to deny the motion as academic, by filing an affirmation or affidavit on that issue with the Clerk of this Court on or before April 1, 2016, and by serving one copy of the same on each other; and it is further,

ORDERED that the motion for a stay is held in abeyance in the interim; and it is further,

ORDERED that the Clerk of this Court, or her designee, shall serve a copy of this order to show cause on the parties by regular mail.
