The People of the State of New York, Respondent, v Peter Trinche, Appellant.

Appeal from a judgment of conviction of the District Court of Nassau County, First District, rendered February 18, 2016.

On the court's own motion, it is

ORDERED that the parties show cause before this court why the above-entitled appeal should or should not be dismissed as untimely and appellant had not sought leave to file a late notice of appeal (see CPL 460.10, 460.30), by filing an affidavit or affirmation on that issue with the Clerk of this court on or before August 19, 2016; and it is further,

ORDERED that the Clerk of this court, or his designee, is directed to serve a copy of this order to show cause on the parties' attorneys by regular mail.
