DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

Motion by New York State Defenders Association, separate motion by National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, separate motion by Immigrant Defense Project, My Sisters' Place, Her Justice, Lansner and Kubitschek, Legal Services NYC, Giskan Solotaroff & Anderson LLP, and MFY Legal Services, and separate motion by New York Civil Liberties Union Foundation, for leave to serve and file amici curiae briefs on an appeal from an order of the Family Court, Kings County, dated February 1, 2016.

Upon the papers filed in support of the motions and no papers having been filed in opposition or in relation thereto, it is

ORDERED that the motions are granted; and it is further,

ORDERED that the amici curiae briefs must be served on the parties, and nine copies filed in this Court, on or before February 3, 2017; and it is further,

ORDERED that no oral argument by the amici curiae shall be permitted; and it is further,

ORDERED that the parties, if they be so advised, may serve and file reply briefs to the amici curiae briefs within 10 days after service upon them of the amici curiae briefs.
