DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION FOR REINSTATEMENT

Renewed motion by Robert E. Semensohn for reinstatement to the Bar as an attorney and counselor-at-law. Mr. Semensohn was admitted to the Bar at a term of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in the Second Judicial Department on September 13, 1978. By decision and order on motion of this Court dated July 29, 2011, inter alia, the Grievance Committee for the Tenth Judicial District was authorized to institute and prosecute a disciplinary proceeding against Mr. Semensohn based on a verified petition dated March 29, 2011, and the matter was referred to the Honorable Patrick A. Sweeney, as Special Referee, to hear and report. By opinion and order of this Court dated October 16, 2013, Mr. Semensohn was suspended from the practice of law for a period of two years, commencing, November 15, 2013. By decision and order on application dated March 4, 2016, Mr. Semensohn's motion for reinstatement was transferred to the Grievance Committee for the Second, Eleventh, and Thirteenth Judicial Districts. By decision and order on motion of this Court dated July 11, 2016, Mr. Semenshohn's motion for reinstatement was denied without prejudice to renew upon resolution of a complaint which was pending before the Grievance Committee for the Second, Eleventh, and Thirteenth Judicial Districts.

Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and the papers filed in relation thereto, it is

ORDERED that the motion is held in abeyance and the matter is referred to the Committee on Character and Fitness to investigate and report on Robert E. Semensohn's character and fitness to practice law.
