The People of the State of New York, Appellant, v
Isaac Sanson, Respondent.

Motion by the Corporation Counsel of the City of New York for leave to intervene in an appeal from an order of the Criminal Court of the City of New York, Queens County, entered June 24, 2016, or, in the alternative, to file a brief and argue as amicus curiae.

Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and no papers having been filed in opposition thereto, it is

ORDERED that the branch of the motion seeking leave to file an amicus curiae brief is granted; and it is further,

ORDERED that the amicus curiae brief must be served on the parties, and an original and five copies filed in this court, within 21 days of the date of this decision and order; and it is further,

ORDERED that oral argument by the amicus curiae shall be permitted; and it is further,

ORDERED that the respondent, if so advised, may file a response to the amicus curiae brief within 14 days of the date that the amicus brief is due to be filed pursuant to this order.
