ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE

Proceeding pursuant to Public Officers Law § 36 to remove Christopher Anderson from the public office of Trustee of the Board of Trustees for the Incorporated Village of Mastic Beach.

On the Court's own motion, it is

ORDERED that the parties are directed to show cause before this Court why an order should or should not be made and entered dismissing the proceeding as academic as Christopher Anderson no longer holds the public office of Trustee of the Board of Trustees for the Incorporated Village of Mastic Beach (see Matter of Halsey v Butler, 134 AD3d 842), by filing an affirmation or an affidavit on that issue in the office of the Clerk of this Court on or before August 16, 2017; and it is further,

ORDERED that the Clerk of this Court or her designee is directed to serve a copy of this order to show cause upon the parties to the proceeding by regular mail.
