DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

Motion by the appellant's assigned counsel to be relieved on appeals from two orders of the Family Court, Kings County, dated May 9, 2016, and January 26, 2017, respectively, on the ground that the appellant has abandoned the appeals by failing to respond to communications by assigned counsel. By order to show cause dated June 26, 2017, the parties were directed to show cause before this Court why an order should or should not be made and entered dismissing the appeals in the above-entitled proceeding as abandoned, and the motion was held in abeyance in the interim.

Now, upon the order to show cause and the papers filed in response thereto, and upon the papers filed in support of the motion of the appellant's assigned counsel and no papers having been filed in motion or in relation thereto, it is

ORDERED that the motion to dismiss the appeals is granted, and the appeals are dismissed, without costs or disbursements; and it is further,

ORDERED assigned counsel's motion is granted.
