1999-02774, 2000-05126 In the Matter of Allen C. Rolle, a disbarred attorney.
(Attorney Registration No. 2009991)
| DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION FOR REINSTATEMENT |
Motion by Allen C. Rolle for reinstatement to the Bar as an attorney and counselor-at-law. Mr. Rolle was admitted to the Bar at a term of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in the First Judicial Department on July 29, 1985. In a proceeding under Appellate Division Docket No. 1999-02774, by opinion and order of this Court dated May 22, 2000, Mr. Rolle was suspended from the practice of law for a period of one year. In a separate proceeding under Appellate Division Docket No. 2000-05126, by decision and order on application of this Court dated July 18, 2000, a disciplinary proceeding was authorized against Mr. Rolle, and the issues were referred to the Honorable Francis X. Egitto, as Special Referee, to hear and report, and by opinion and order of this Court dated April 15, 2002, Mr. Rolle was disbarred, effective immediately, and his name was stricken from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law. By decision and order on motion of this Court dated June 10, 2016, Mr. Rolle's motion for reinstatement was held in abeyance and the matter referred to the Committee on Character and Fitness to investigate and report on his character and general fitness to practice law.
Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and the papers filed in relation thereto, and upon the report of the Committee on Character and Fitness and the exhibits annexed thereto, it is
ORDERED that the motion is denied.
We find that Allen C. Rolle does not demonstrate the requisite character and fitness to practice law.
ENG, P.J., MASTRO, RIVERA, DILLON, and AUSTIN, JJ., concur.
