In the Matter of Juan-Carlos Giraldo,

respondent, v Martha Cuadros, appellant.

(Docket No. V-1150-08)

DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

Motion by the appellant's assigned counsel to be relieved on an appeal from an order of the Family Court, Queens County, dated August 16, 2016. By order to show cause dated December 29, 2017, the parties were directed to show cause before this Court why an order should or should not be made and entered relieving the assigned counsel for the appellant and dismissing the appeal in the above-entitled proceeding on the ground that the appeal had been rendered academic, and the assigned counsel's motion was held in abeyance on the interim.

Now, upon the order to show cause and no papers having been filed in response thereto, and upon the papers filed in support of the assigned counsel's motion and the papers filed in relation thereto, it is

ORDERED that the motions are granted, the appeal is dismissed, without costs or disbursements, and assigned counsel is relieved of the assignment.

SCHEINKMAN, P.J., LEVENTHAL, MILLER and BRATHWAITE NELSON, JJ., concur.
