(Docket Nos. G-1600-16, N-21530-12/14F/16Q)

DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

Appeals by Suffolk County Department of Social Services, Child Protective Services, and cross appeals by Christina G., from two orders of the Family Court, Suffolk County, both dated November 17, 2016. By order to show cause dated February 6, 2018, the parties were directed to show cause before this Court why an order should or should not be made and entered dismissing the appeals and cross appeals in the above-entitled proceedings on the ground that they had been rendered academic by the death of Christina G.

Now, upon the order to show cause and the papers filed in response thereto, it is

ORDERED that the motion to dismiss the appeals and cross appeals is granted, and the appeals and cross appeals are dismissed, without costs or disbursements (see Matter of Charles C. E., 129 AD3d 721).

MASTRO, J.P., DILLON, MALTESE and LASALLE, JJ., concur.
