Appeal from judgments of conviction of the City Court of Newburgh, Orange County, rendered April 13, 2018.

On the court's own motion, it is

ORDERED that appellant show cause before this court why the above-entitled appeal should not be dismissed on the ground that no appeal by the People lies from a judgment of conviction (see CPL 450.20, 450.30) by filing an affidavit or affirmation on that issue with the Clerk of this court on or before June 18, 2018; and it is further,

ORDERED that the Clerk of this court, or his designee, is directed to serve a copy of this order to show cause on the parties by regular mail.
