Appeal from a judgment of conviction of the Justice Court of the Town of Monroe, Orange County, rendered January 31, 2018. By order to show cause dated March 28, 2018, appellant was directed to show cause why the appeal should not be dismissed for failure to serve respondent with the notice of appeal in compliance with CPL 460.10 (1) (b), or to move pursuant to CPL 460.10 (6) for an extension of time to serve the notice of appeal upon respondent.
Upon the order to show cause and no papers having been filed in response thereto, it is
ORDERED that the motion to dismiss the appeal is granted and the appeal is dismissed (see CPL 460.10 [1] [b]).
