| DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION FOR REINSTATEMENT |
Motion by Alex Rozenzaft for reinstatement to the Bar as an attorney and counselor-at-law. Mr. Rozenzaft was admitted to the Bar at a term of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in the Second Judicial Department on July 28, 1999. By decision and order on application of this Court dated January 24, 2014, the Grievance Committee for the Second, Eleventh, and Thirteenth Judicial Districts was authorized to institute and prosecute a disciplinary proceeding against Mr. Rozenzaft based on a verified petition dated September 10, 2013, and the issues raised were referred to the Honorable Arthur J. Cooperman, as Special Referee, to hear and report. By decision and order on motion of this Court dated April 11, 2014, the Special Referee was relieved and the matter was reassigned to John P. Clarke. By opinion and order of this Court dated August 24, 2016, Mr. Rozenzaft was suspended from the practice of law for a period of two years, commencing September 23, 2016, based on two charges of professional misconduct.
Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and the papers filed in relation thereto, it is
ORDERED that the motion is held in abeyance and the matter is referred to the Committee on Character and Fitness to investigate and report on Alex Rozenzaft's character and fitness to practice law.
