Motion by the appellant's assigned counsel to be relieved on appeals from three orders of the Family Court, Suffolk County, dated January 31, 2018, March 6, 2018, and June 21, 2018, respectively, for the assignment of new counsel, and to extend the time to perfect the appeals. Separate motion by the appellant pro se, inter alia, to relieve assigned counsel and for the assignment of new counsel, and to extend the time to perfect the appeals.
By separate decisions and orders on motion of this Court, two dated July 13, 2018, and one dated December 4, 2018, the respondent-appellant was granted poor person relief and the following named attorney was assigned as counsel to prosecute those appeals:

Upon the papers filed in support of the motion by assigned counsel and the papers filed in opposition and in relation thereto, and upon the papers filed in support of the motion by the appellant pro se and the papers filed in relation thereto, it is
ORDERED that the branches of the motions which are to relieve counsel and for the assignment of new counsel are granted, former counsel is directed to turn over all papers in this matter to new counsel herein assigned, and the following named attorney was assigned as counsel to prosecute the appeals:

and it is further,
ORDERED that on the Court's own motion, the parties are directed to show cause before this Court why an order should or should not be made and entered dismissing the appeal from the order dated March 6, 2018, in the above-entitled proceedings on the ground that the appeal from the order dated March 6, 2018, has been rendered academic as that order expired by its terms on March 6, 2019, by each filing an affirmation or affidavit on that issue in the office of the Clerk of this Court and serving one copy of the same on each other on or before April 2, 2019; and it is further,
ORDERED that the branches of the motion which are to extend the time to perfect the appeals is granted, and the time to perfect the appeals is extended until May 10, 2019; and it is further,
ORDERED that the motion by the appellant pro se is otherwise denied; and it is further,
ORDERED that the Clerk of this Court, or her designee, is directed to serve a copy of this order to show cause upon the parties by regular mail.
