| DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION |
The respondent was admitted to the Bar at a term of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in the Second Judicial Department on September 18, 2002. By decision and order on motion of this Court dated November 20, 2017,the respondent was suspended from the practice of law pursuant to Judiciary Law § 90(4)(f) as a result of his conviction of a serious crime, and he was directed, pursuant to 22 NYCRR 1240.12(c)(2)(i) and (iii), to show cause at a hearing before the Honorable Patricia M. DiMango why a final order of suspension, censure, or disbarment should not be made.
On the Court's own motion, it is
ORDERED that the disciplinary proceeding commenced against the respondent, Yohan Choi, pursuant to 22 NYCRR 1240.12(c)(2)(i) and (iii), is discontinued as academic, in light of the opinion and order of this Court dated March 13, 2019, granting that branch of his application which is to resign as an attorney and counselor-at-law and disbarring him, effective immediately, in a related proceeding under Appellate Division Docket No. 2018-04788 (see Matter of Choi, ___ AD3d ___ [March 13, 2019]).
