DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

Application by Rebecca Mayfield Blahut to be relieved as inventory attorney concerning the files, records, and mail of Michael Varble, who was admitted to the Bar at a term of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in the First Judicial Department on January 13, 1997. By opinion and order of this Court dated February 27, 2019, Mr. Varble was disbarred, effective immediately (see Matter of Varble, 170 AD3d 41). Ms. Blahut was appointed inventory attorney by decision and order on motion of this Court dated July 17, 2019.

Upon the papers filed in support of the application, it is

ORDERED that the application is granted; and it is further,

ORDERED that Rebecca Mayfield Blahut, c/o McCabe & Mack, LLP, 63 Washington Street, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. 12601, is relieved as inventory attorney concerning the files, records, and mail of Michael Varble, a disbarred attorney; and it is further,

ORDERED that pursuant to 22 NYCRR 1240.21(a), Stella Isaza, P.O. Box 231, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. 12602, is hereby appointed as inventory attorney (1) to take custody of and inventory the files of Michael R. Varble, including any original wills, (2) to take custody of and safeguard the records of any business, escrow, trust, or special bank account of Mr. Varble, (3) to receive, open, and read mail addressed to Mr. Varble at his regular place of business, and (4) to take such action as is deemed proper and advisable to protect the interests of the clients of Mr. Varble.
