DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

Motion by Mary Meenan, court-appointed inventory attorney with respect to the above-entitled matter, (1) for leave to deposit and/or file any unclaimed wills in her possession with the appropriate Surrogate's Court(s) pursuant to Surrogate's Court Procedure Act §§ 2507 and/or 2508, as may be applicable; (2) to direct that the Surrogate's Court(s) waive any fee(s) in relation to the foregoing; (3) for authorization to make arrangements for the destruction of any files contemplated by the court-ordered inventory that remain unclaimed; and (4) to be discharged. Mr. Griffin was admitted to the Bar at a term of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in the Second Judicial Department on March 20, 1985. By decision and order on motion of this Court dated November 12, 2014, Mr. Griffin was immediately suspended from the practice of law pursuant to former 22 NYCRR 691.4(l)(1)(i) and (iii), and the Grievance Committee for the Ninth Judicial District was authorized to institute and prosecute a disciplinary proceeding against him. By opinion and order of this Court dated August 19, 2015, Mr. Griffin was disbarred, effective February 4, 2015, pursuant to Judiciary Law § 90(4)(a) based upon his felony conviction. Gary L. Casella, Chief Counsel to the Grievance Committee for the Ninth Judicial District was appointed as inventory attorney by decision and order on motion of this Court dated December 17, 2015. By decision and order on application of this Court dated November 29, 2016, Mr. Casella was relieved as inventory attorney and Ms. Meenan was appointed as inventory attorney.

Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and no papers having been filed in opposition or in relation thereto, it is

ORDERED that the motion is granted; and it is further,

ORDERED that Mary Meenan, under the guidance of Robert P. Guido, Executive Director for Attorney Matters, shall deposit and/or file any unclaimed wills in her possession with the appropriate Surrogate's Court(s) pursuant to Surrogate's Court Procedure Act §§ 2507 and/or 2508, as may be applicable; and it is further,

ORDERED that the Surrogate's Court(s) are directed to waive any fee(s) in relation to the foregoing; and it is further,

ORDERED that Mary Meenan is authorized to arrange for the destruction of any unclaimed files, under the guidance of Robert P. Guido, Executive Director for Attorney Matters, and shall provide the Grievance Committee for the Ninth Judicial District with a record of all files inventoried; and it is further,

ORDERED that upon completion of the foregoing, Mary Meenan is discharged as court-ordered inventory attorney in the above-entitled matter.
