DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

The People of the State of New York, Respondent, v Jose Vijay, Appellant.

Appeal, as limited by the brief, from a sentence of probation of the Criminal Court of the City of New York, Kings County, imposed September 18, 2017. Motion by Paul Skip Laisure, Esq., counsel assigned to prosecute the appeal, in effect, to be relieved of the assignment on the ground that the appeal has been rendered moot by the revocation by that court on October 8, 2019 of the sentence of probation.

Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and no papers having been filed in opposition thereto, it is

ORDERED, on the court's own motion, that the appeal is dismissed as moot; and it is further,

ORDERED that the motion by assigned counsel, in effect, to be relieved, is granted.
