(Index No. 2133/18)

ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE

Appeal from an order of the Supreme Court, Kings County, dated March 28, 2019. On November 1, 2019, the appellants perfected the appeal, on December 2, 2019, the respondent filed her brief, and on December 20, 2019, the appellants Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Port Authority Police Department, United Airlines, Inc., and Champlain Enterprises, Inc., filed their reply brief. Subsequently, the matter was calendared for oral argument or submission on February 3, 2020. On January 29, 2020, this Court was advised that by order of the Supreme Court, Kings County, dated December 3, 2019, the underlying action had been dismissed insofar as asserted against the appellant PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc., and on January 31, 2020, that appellant filed a stipulation seeking to withdraw the appeal insofar as taken against it.

Now, on the Court's own motion, it is

ORDERED that Finkelstein Law Group, PLLC, counsel for the respondent, Lewis, Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith, LLP, counsel for the appellants Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Port Authority Police Department, United Airlines, Inc., and Champlain Enterprises, Inc., and Morgan & Akins, PLLC, counsel for the appellant PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc., are directed to show cause before this Court why an order should or should not be made and entered imposing such sanctions and/or costs, if any, against them pursuant to 22 NYCRR 1250.2(c) as this Court may deem appropriate, by filing an affirmation or affidavit on that issue in the office of the Clerk of this Court and serving one copy of the same on each other on or before March 5, 2020; and it is further,

ORDERED that the Clerk of this Court, or her designee, is directed to serve a copy of this order to show cause upon counsel for the parties, by regular mail.
