DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

Motion by Jerald S. Carter for leave to withdraw as counsel for the respondent on an appeal from an order of the Supreme Court, Nassau County, entered August 21, 2019, and for the assignment of counsel. Separate motion by the respondent to substitute retained counsel and to extend the time to serve and file a brief.

Upon the papers filed in support of the motion for leave to withdraw as counsel and the papers filed in relation thereto, and upon the papers filed in support of the motion, inter alia, to substitute retained counsel and no papers having been filed in opposition or in relation thereto, it is

ORDERED that the branch of the motion which is to substitute retained counsel is granted, and Law Office of Craig Relles, 12 Water Street, Suite 303, White Plains, NY 10601, is substituted as counsel for the respondent in connection with this appeal; and it is further,

ORDERED that the branch of the motion which is to extend the time to serve and file a brief is granted, the respondent's time to serve and file a brief is extended, and on or before August 21, 2020, the respondent shall serve a brief and upload digital copies of a brief, with proof of service thereof, through the digital portal on this Court's website, and file an original and five hard copies of a brief in accordance with any applicable administrative order or other order to be issued by the Court; and it is further,

ORDERED that the motion for leave to withdraw as counsel and for the assignment of counsel is denied as academic.
