a suspended attorney.

(Attorney Registration No. 2577534)

DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION
FOR REINSTATEMENT

Motion by Jon A. Lefkowitz for reinstatement to the Bar as an attorney and counselor-at-law. Mr. Lefkowitz was admitted to the Bar at a term of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in the Second Judicial Department on January 5, 1994, under the name Jon Ari Lefkowitz. By decision and order on motion of this Court dated March 23, 2017, Mr. Lefkowitz was immediately suspended from the practice of law based on his conviction of a serious crime. By opinion and order of this Court dated July 11, 2018, Mr. Lefkowitz was suspended from the practice of law for a period of two years, with credit for the time elapsed under the decision and order on motion dated March 23, 2017. By decision and order on motion of this Court dated June 3, 2019, Mr. Lefkowitz's motion for reinstatement was held in abeyance and the matter was referred to a Committee on Character and Fitness to investigate and report on his character and fitness to practice law.

Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and the papers filed in relation thereto, and upon the report of the Committee on Character and Fitness and the exhibits annexed thereto, it is

ORDERED that the motion is denied.

We find that Jon A. Lefkowitz, admitted to practice as Jon Ari Lefkowtiz, does not demonstrate the requisite character and fitness to practice law.

MASTRO, A.P.J., RIVERA, DILLON, CHAMBERS and AUSTIN, JJ., concur.
