(Attorney Registration No. 2687952)

DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

Motion by Steven J. Maffei, the court-appointed inventory attorney with respect to the above-entitled matter, to be discharged as inventory attorney for the files of Alan Ross. Mr. Ross was admitted to the Bar at a term of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in the Second Judicial Department on July 19, 1995, under the name Arkady Dynin, and on January 7, 1998, his name was changed on the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law to Alan Ross. By opinion and order of this Court dated February 13, 2019, Mr. Ross was disbarred, effective immediately, and his name was stricken from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law based upon his default in filing an answer to a notice of petition dated April 2, 2018, and a verified petition dated March 27, 2018. By decision and order on motion of this Court dated August 4, 2017, Steven J. Maffei was appointed as inventory attorney. By decision and order on motion of this Court dated March 18, 2019, Mr. Maffei was authorized to destroy any files that were earmarked for destruction and for which his responsibilities as inventory attorney were fully completed.

Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and no papers having been filed in opposition or in relation thereto, it is

ORDERED that the motion is granted; and it is further,

ORDERED that Steven J. Maffei is directed to deliver all banking and bookkeeping records in the above-entitled matter in his possession, along with a list of all files inventoried, to the Grievance Committee for the Second, Eleventh, and Thirteenth Judicial Districts; and it is further,

ORDERED that upon the completion of the foregoing, Steven J. Maffei is discharged as inventory attorney in the above-entitled matter.
