(Proceeding No. 1) In the Matter of George R. (Anonymous). Nassau County Department of Social Services, petitioner-respondent; George L. R. (Anonymous), respondent-appellant. (Proceeding No. 2) (Docket Nos. A-3054-2021, A-3055-2021)
| ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE |
On the Court's own motion, it is
ORDERED that the orders to show cause of this Court dated November 17, 2021, and November 19, 2021, in the above-entitled case are recalled and vacated, and the following order to show cause is substituted therefor:
Appeals by George L. R. from two orders of the Family Court, Nassau County, both dated August 12, 2021.
On the Court's own motion, it is
ORDERED that the parties are directed to show cause before this Court why an order should not be made and entered dismissing the appeals in the above-entitled proceedings on the grounds that no appeal lies from orders entered upon the consent of the appealing party (see CPLR 5511), and/or that no appeal lies as of right from nondispositional orders in proceedings pursuant to Family Court Act article 6 part 2 (see Family Ct Act § 1112), and leave to appeal has not been granted, by uploading a digital copy of an affirmation or affidavit on that issue, with proof of service thereof, through the digital portal on this Court's website on or before December 31, 2021; if a self-represented party is unable to use the digital portal, they may instead file a copy of an affirmation or affidavit, with proof of service thereof, via email at [email protected] or via regular mail addressed to the Clerk of this Court on or before December 31, 2021; and it is further,
ORDERED that the Clerk of this Court, or her designee, is directed to serve a copy of this order to show cause upon the parties via email to the email address provided to this Court, or if no email address is available for service by regular mail.
