Concerning:  Case Information On-Line  /  Private Information Services / The Court's Web Pages / Decisions On Line  /  Courtroom 2000 and Other Advanced Courtrooms

A. ELECTRONIC CASE INFORMATION ON-LINE

County Clerk and court information in most cases, both those in which a Request for Judicial Intervention has been filed and those in which it has not, and many documents in such cases are available on-line on this website (in the Supreme Court Records On-Line Library ("SCROLL")). Included in this data is information about motions, conferences and trial appearances.

The court system also operates a program that monitors developments in groups of cases designated by subscribing attorneys. The attorney identifies one, two or a number of cases and each program will promptly notify counsel, including by e-mail message, of all developments in each case as reflected in the court’s computer system. This program, known as "CaseTrac," can be accessed at www.nycourts.gov (go to "E-Courts" and then to "CaseTrac").

B. PRIVATE INFORMATION SERVICES

Various private companies make available to subscribers through electronic means the court’s computer database of case histories and County Clerk data. All events in a case that are recorded in the computer can be tracked.

C. THE COURTS’S WEB PAGES

On this website can be found the Uniform Rules of the Justices, announcements and much other information. Decisions and orders of the Justices and the Commercial Division Justices, with County Clerk entry stamp, are posted daily in Scroll. Daily calendars of the Motion Support Office Courtroom can be found here as well (click here).  In addition, the Commercial Division operates a separate website (at www.nycourts.gov/comdiv).

D. COURTROOM 2000 AND OTHER ADVANCED COURTROOMS

The Court Reporters in this court offer some of the most sophisticated capabilities available in the State, such as e-mailing of transcripts, ASSCII disks, e-transcripts, realtime transcription in the courtroom and on the internet, CD Roms, indices of each day's proceedings, and a master index of the whole trial.  Our court operates several technologically advanced courtrooms, including a pioneering Courtroom 2000 for the New Millennium.  For further information, click here.

E.  ELECTRONIC CASE FILING

Commercial, tax certiorari and tort cases can be filed by means of the court's Filing by Electronic Means System.  The FBEM website can be located by going to the court system's website (www.nycourts.gov), clicking on "E-Courts" and then clicking on "Electronic Filing."  A User's Manual and FAQ's can be located there.  For information on our court's E Filing Office and the procedures followed in e-filed cases for the submission and processing of papers, click here.
