Candidate Biography
Personal Statement |
- In my 16 years on the bench and in my published decisions, I have made it a point to treat all who appear in my court with fairness and dignity, values important to me as a result of my own experiences as a woman and an African-American practicing law. Coming to court as a litigant or a juror is a memorable event, so I strive to instill a sense of confidence and respect for our judicial system. Off the bench, I am a wife and mother to two children, and I serve my community by mentoring and speaking at schools.
