On May 28, 2026, the Appellate Division, Third Department held a session of court in the Columbia County Courthouse in Hudson, NY. Presiding Justice Elizabeth A. Garry, Justice Lisa Fisher, Justice Michael Mackey, Justice Justin Corcoran and Justice Christina Ryba heard oral arguments in the beautiful ceremonial courtroom. The day's events also included a program at which the local county judges - Judge Michael Howard and Judge Brian Herman - gave awards to various members of the Hudson community. The program also included a discussion of the history of the Columbia County Courthouses and a presentation of several artifacts.
