On October 7, 2025, the Appellate Division, Third Department held a session of court in the T. Paul Kane Courtroom in the Schoharie County Courthouse in Schoharie, NY. Presiding Justice Elizabeth A. Garry, Justice Michael Lynch, Justice Andrew Ceresia, Justice Lisa Fisher and Justice Mark Powers heard arguments on four cases before a filled courtroom. Before the opening of the calendar, the Court's Justices also spoke with approximately 60 local high school students and answered questions. The last time the Third Department held a session of court in Schoharie County was in 2004.
