The Court System operates and maintains a variety of law libraries. Our primary purpose is to provide books, online resources, and helpful staff so anyone can learn more about the law. By doing this, we help facilitate the just and timely resolution of all matters before the courts.

Overview
The Ernest N. Warren Supreme Court Library in Tompkins County was created by statute in July 1988 (L.1988, Ch.412) and is located in the basement of the Tompkins County Courthouse in Ithaca.
The library is currently temporarily unstaffed, but remains open for self-service use Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. If you need assistance, please contact the Broome County Law Library staff at 607-240-5786.
The library’s print collection consists of basic New York and Federal statutory law, as well as general practice treatises. Online legal research programs, LexisNexis and Westlaw, are available on the library’s public access computers.
All visitors must pass through a magnetometer upon entering the courthouse.
