The Supreme Court is a trial court with unlimited original jurisdiction, typically handling cases beyond the authority of lower courts with more limited jurisdiction. In New York City, it has jurisdiction over felony criminal cases, in which a sentence in excess of one year may be imposed.

Kings County Supreme Court - Criminal Term is located at 320 Jay Street in Downtown Brooklyn. Our building is on the corner of Jay Street and Johnson Street/Tech Place; also located next to the Marriott Hotel.

New York State Courts Electronic Filing System (NYSCEF)
The Kings County Supreme Court, Criminal Term, is among the first courts for criminal matters to launch the New York State Courts Electronic Filing System (NYSCEF) on September 8, 2025. This system enables New York State attorneys and other authorized users to electronically file and serve legal documents for specific case types that are authorized for e-filing.

Electronic Document Delivery System (EDDS)
The Electronic Document Delivery System (EDDS) is available to the general public to electronically submit PDF documents and request court records. All submissions are subject to court review and applicable court procedures.

It is my pleasure, as Administrative Judge, to welcome you to the official website of the Kings County Supreme Court - Criminal Term. Our courthouse is one of the newest in New York State and is the most technologically advanced site in the court system. The courthouse is home to more than 30 judges and 500 court employees committed to the fair administration of justice.

It is our goal to ensure that all court users experience the best our courthouse has to offer, from the competency and professionalism of the employees to the breathtaking views of New York City to the wireless internet available in Central Jury.
