Overview

A Drug Treatment Court is a specialized, collaborative "problem-solving" court that offers non-violent, substance-addicted offenders an alternative to incarceration. Participants undergo court-supervised treatment and frequent testing with the opportunity for charges to be reduced or dismissed upon successful completion.

The Otsego County Treatment Court is a collaborative effort of legal, medical, educational, and social service professionals who provide comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation services for nonviolent, alcohol, and drug abusing offenders.  We provide intensive supervision, drug testing, and monitoring to achieve treatment outcomes and promote public safety.  We believe that addiction is a disease process that can be treated through individualized approaches that will reduce criminal behavior.
