Fee Dispute Programs are administered on a region-by-region basis. These programs are run by bar associations or by the court system's Administrative Judges. All local programs have been carefully reviewed to ensure that they will resolve fee disputes in a fair, impartial, and efficient manner. Local programs charge about the same or less than it costs to file a case in court.
To figure out which local program should handle your fee dispute, look for the county where most of the legal work was done. This is usually the county where the lawyer’s office is located, but not always.
