Street Co-Naming Initiative: October 22, 2025
The Williams Commission will have a Harlem street co-named in honor of Ambassador Franklin H. Williams, given his impact on the civil rights movement, the New York courts and the Harlem community. The street co-naming ceremony will occur on the anniversary of the 108th birthday of Ambassador Williams, on October 22nd, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, followed by a program and reception at the Schomburg Center.
