Opinion 06-119

October 6, 2006

This is in response to your inquiry (06-119) in which you ask whether there is an appearance of impropriety should you preside in cases where the attorney for one of the parties before your court was a former running mate in a recent election. In our opinion, the fact that you and this attorney ran on the same slate in a recent election does not create an appearance of impropriety. 22 NYCRR 100.2.
