         The Advisory Committee on Judicial Ethics, at its meeting of December 5, 1989, considered your inquiry (89-145), dated November 28, 1989, requesting an opinion as to the propriety of attending a realtors’ association convention for the purpose of administering the oath of office to a friend who is the incoming president of the association.


         There is no ethical prohibition to your attending the convention to administer this oath.
