Opinion 93-113

December 21, 1993

I am writing in response to your Inquiry 93-113, regarding the propriety of working on criminal matters in the United States Attorney's Office in your capacity as a student practitioner, given your current position as an Acting Village Court Justice.

After discussion at the December 9, 1993 meeting, the Committee determined that it would not be improper for you to continue your clerkship as a student practitioner in the United States Attorney's Office as to criminal matters in that office, provided that in all court appearances or work, you clearly and openly disclose that you are acting only in your capacity as a student practitioner.
