Motion by Cory J. Covert for reinstatement to the bar as an attorney and counselor-at-law. Mr. Covert was admitted to the bar at a term of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in the Second Judicial Department on February 3, 1993, under the name Cory John Covert. By decision and order on motion of this Court dated March 12, 2010, the Grievance Committee for the Tenth Judicial District was authorized to institute and prosecute a disciplinary proceeding against Mr. Covert and the issues raised were referred to the Honorable Arthur J. Cooperman, as Special Referee to hear and report. By opinion and order of this Court dated May 31, 2011, Mr. Covert was suspended from the practice of law for a period of six months, commencing June 30, 2011, based on five charges of professional misconduct (see Matter of Covert, 86 AD3d 137 [2011]).
Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and the papers filed in relation thereto, it is
Ordered that the motion is granted; and it is further,
Ordered that, effective immediately, Cory John Covert is reinstated as an attorney and counselor-at-law and the Clerk of the Court is directed to restore the name of Cory John Covert to the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law. Mastro, A.P.J., Rivera, Skelos, Dillon and Eng, JJ., concur.
