The People of the State of New York, Respondent,
v
William Cain, Appellant.

Robert S. Dean, Center for Appellate Litigation, New York (Lauren Springer of counsel), for appellant.

Robert T. Johnson, District Attorney, Bronx (David P. Johnson of counsel), for respondent.

Judgment, Supreme Court, Bronx County (Michael A. Gross, J.), rendered February 27, 2014, convicting defendant, upon his plea of guilty, of manslaughter in the first degree, and sentencing him to a term of 22 1/2 years, unanimously affirmed.

Although we do not find that defendant made a valid waiver of the right to appeal, we perceive no basis for reducing the sentence. Concur—Friedman, J.P., Acosta, Richter and Gische, JJ.
