| The People of the State of New York,
Respondent, v Jennifer Gross, Appellant. |
Stacy E. Albin-Leone, Long Beach, NY, for appellant.
Anne T. Donnelly, District Attorney, Mineola, NY (David L. Glovin and Liora M. Ben-Sorek of counsel), for respondent.
Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Nassau County (Meryl J. Berkowitz, J.), rendered August 20, 2020, convicting her of manslaughter in the first degree, upon her plea of guilty, and imposing sentence.
Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.
The record demonstrates that the defendant knowingly, voluntarily, and intelligently waived her right to appeal (see People v Lopez, 6 NY3d 248, 254 [2006]). The defendant's valid waiver of her right to appeal precludes appellate review of her contention that the sentence imposed was excessive (see id. at 255-256). Genovesi, J.P., Ford, Ventura and Quirk, JJ., concur.
