| DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION FOR REINSTATEMENT |
Motion by Martin E. Kofman for reinstatement to the Bar as an attorney and counselor-at-law. Mr. Kofman was admitted to the Bar at a term of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in the Second Judicial Department on January 14, 1987. By decision and order on motion of this Court dated July 31, 2019, Mr. Kofman was immediately suspended from the practice of law pursuant to Judiciary Law § 90(4)(f) and 22 NYCRR 1240.12(c)(2)(ii), based upon his conviction of a serious crime. By opinion and order of this Court dated July 28, 2021, Mr. Kofman was suspended from the practice of law for a period of two years, with credit for the time elapsed under his interim suspension.
Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and the papers filed in relation thereto, it is
ORDERED that the motion is held in abeyance and the matter is referred to a Committee on Character and Fitness to investigate and report on Martin E. Kofman's character and fitness to practice law.
