DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

The People of the State of New York, Respondent, v Katherine Alfaro, Appellant.

Motion by appellant for leave to serve and file an amended brief on an appeal from a judgment of conviction of the District Court of Suffolk County, Traffic and Parking Violations Agency, rendered September 7, 2021. Separate motion by the People to dismiss the appeal.

Upon the papers filed in support of the motions and the papers filed in opposition thereto, it is

ORDERED that, on the court's own motion, appellant's and respondent's motions are consolidated for purposes of disposition; and it is further,

ORDERED that appellant's motion is granted, appellant's original brief is stricken, and appellant is directed to serve and file an amended appellant's brief within 10 days from the date of this decision and order on motion; and it is further,

ORDERED that respondent may serve and file a respondent's brief within 14 days after service of the amended appellant's brief; and it is further,

ORDERED that respondent's motion is denied as moot.
