In the Matter of Matthew B. Kogan, admitted as

Matthew Brian Kogan, a disbarred attorney.

(Attorney Registration No. 4007910)

DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION

Motion by Matthew B. Kogan for reinstatement to the Bar as an attorney and counselor-at-law. Mr. Kogan was admitted to the Bar at a term of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in the Second Judicial Department on January 9, 2002, under the name Matthew Brian Kogan. In an opinion and order dated July 15, 2015, this Court disbarred Mr. Kogan effective July 18, 2014, by virtue of his felony conviction of grand larceny in the third degree, a class D felony, in violation of Penal Law § 155.35.

Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and the papers filed in relation thereto,

it is

ORDERED that the motion is denied.

We find that Matthew B. Kogan, admitted as Matthew Brian Kogan, does not demonstrate the requisite character and fitness to practice law.

LASALLE, P.J., DILLON, DUFFY, BARROS and GENOVESI, JJ., concur.
