(Attorney Registration No. 4727210)

DECISION & ORDER ON MOTION
FOR REINSTATEMENT

Motion by Paul D. Kraft for reinstatement to the Bar as an attorney and counselor-at-law. Mr. Kraft was admitted to the Bar at a term of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in the Second Department on September 16, 2009, under the name Paul David Kraft. By decision and order on motion of this Court dated April 23, 2014, Mr. Kraft was immediately suspended from the practice of law pursuant to Judiciary Law § 90(4)(f) based on his conviction of a serious crime. By opinion and order of this Court dated May 20, 2015, Mr. Kraft was suspended from the practice of law for a period of one year, with credit for the time elapsed under the interim order of suspension, with leave to apply for reinstatement immediately. By decision and order on motion of this Court dated October 30, 2015, Mr. Kraft's first motion for reinstatement was held in abeyance, and the matter was referred to a Committee on Character and Fitness to investigate and report on Mr. Kraft's character and general fitness to practice law. By decision and order on motion of this Court dated October 31, 2017, Mr. Kraft's first motion for reinstatement was denied on the ground that he had abandoned the motion. By decision and order of this Court dated February 19, 2020, Mr. Kraft's second motion for reinstatement was held in abeyance and the matter was referred to a Committee on Character and Fitness to investigate and report on his character and fitness to practice law.

Upon the papers filed in support of the motion and the papers filed in relation thereto, and upon the report of the Committee on Character and Fitness and the exhibits annexed thereto, and the papers filed in response thereto, it is

ORDERED that the motion is denied.

We find that Paul D. Kraft, admitted as Paul David Kraft, does not demonstrate the requisite character and fitness to practice law.

LASALLE, P.J., DILLON, DUFFY, BARROS and CONNOLLY, JJ., concur.
